Smiley covers
The smiley covers, also called tray covers, of Tjepkema Medical Products offer a suitable solution for the protection and functional transport of flexible endoscopes.
These disposables are selected for their contribution to patient safety, quality improvement, ease of use and efficiency.
The set consists of an inlay that is placed in the instrument net and an outer cover with a green smiley and a red smiley. The smiley cover is therefore packed together with the inlay in an LDPE bag.
The components may also be ordered separately. Numbers and packaging forms can be determined in consultation.

Specifications smiley cover
The smiley cover can be used twice. After the cleaning process, the cover with the green smiley on the visible top of the instrument net is first used. The disinfected endoscope then lies on the inlay in the instrument net. This inlay serves to eliminate contamination from the instrument net.
If the endoscope is used on the patient’s wrist, then this endoscope is contaminated. The contaminated scoop is placed in the same instrument net. The only thing that still needs to be done is to turn the smiley cover over, the red smiley with the “sad face” now covers the top. This red smiley indicates that the endoscope is contaminated. The instrument net can then be transported back to the CSR, clearly visible to the users.

The smiley covers are available in four different sizes and are suitable for trays with the following dimensions:
- 600 x 400 x 100 mm
- 500 x 500 x 100 mm
- 400 x 400 x 100 mm
- 300 x 400 x 100 mm
Developments
The latest development is that the green or red smiley is not only visible on the top, but also on the sides of the cover. So you can observe from multiple angles whether the endoscope is clean or contaminated.
